Group Structure
- One to two instructors run each group, depending on its size and dynamics.
- 3 to 4 students per group
- Smaller groups of 2 are used when appropriate
- Each student must be able to participate without one-to-one assistance
School Session
Groups run for nine months during the school year September through June..
This session allows us to select and track data on individual goals for each student. A progress report will be provided at the end of the 34-week session. This session runs continuously throughout the school year; however, we require one month's notice if you decide to withdraw your child from their group placement. If enrolled in September you will have 2 excused absences and if enrolled later in the year you will have 1 excused absence for any reason; however, beyond that missed sessions will be billed as regular sessions. This is because group work is dependent upon all group members attending as much as possible. We will observe all major school holidays and will take a 2 week winter break.
Summer Session
June through August (8-10 weeks)
Our summer session is based on a group approach with 2-3 universal/common goals that are incorporated in each weekly project or activity. No progress reports are provided during this 8-10 week program, unless families elect to pay for one. No absences are provided during this shortened session and any missed sessions will be billed at the regular rate.
