Marcella has been a Speech-Language Pathologist for over 10 years. During that time, she has supervised Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), mentored Clinical Fellows (CFs) and supervised graduate and undergraduate students. Marcella has worked in medical settings, private practice, university, and public-school settings with people from 18 months to 60 years of age. She has provided services for people with dysarthria, apraxia, language delays, articulation disorders, and other challenges. Marcella specializes in bilingual language development and clinical education. Her favorite part of being a supervisor is learning from the many people she has mentored over the years. She believes that the role of supervision is important to the profession and benefits both the clinician and supervisor, as well as the community at large. Marcella is actively involved with the California Speech Language and Hearing Association (CSHA) and has presented dozens of workshops, seminars, and trainings, appearing at the local, state, national, and international level. Marcella obtained her master’s degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from San Jose State University.
